Boun Lai Heua Fai, the Luang Prabang Light Festival, takes place from October 5 to 8, 2025. This traditional ceremony honors the river spirits by floating small krathongs filled with flowers and lighting candles. It is believed that these offerings release negative energy, ill fortune, and sickness into the river, inviting blessings and good luck for the year ahead.
