Discover Luang Prabang’s Living Heritage
Luang Prabang is one of Southeast Asia’s most treasured UNESCO World Heritage towns, where gilded temples, saffron robed monks, and French colonial architecture share the same quiet streets along the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers. Here, heritage isn’t something behind glass, it’s part of daily life, in the morning alms giving processions, the evening night market, and buildings that have watched over the town for generations.

Right in the heart of the old quarter on Sakkaline Road, 3 Nagas Hotel Luang Prabang, MGallery Collection carries that same living history. Once a beloved ice cream parlor for a Lao king’s family, the property takes its name from the naga, the guardian spirits said to watch over Luang Prabang’s waters.
This September, as part of MGallery Heritage Days, that story opens its doors to guests and locals alike, through two curated activities rooted in local craft and culture.

A Heritage Walk
Set out on a self guided walking route through Luang Prabang’s old quarter, using a map provided at the hotel to discover the town’s most significant temples just steps from 3 Nagas. Each stop connects back to the naga legend the hotel itself is named for, offering a personal, unhurried way to experience the town’s UNESCO listed heritage.

Date: September 19th and 26th

Paj Ntaub, a Hmong Batik Workshop
Paj ntaub, meaning flower cloth, is the traditional Hmong art of drawing in beeswax and dyeing in natural indigo, a craft passed down through generations across Laos. Guests sit with a local Hmong artisan to draw their own pattern by hand, then watch it emerge from the indigo dye, a small, handmade piece of Lao heritage to take home.

Date: September 19th and 20th
Time: 3pm -4pm
Price: 20 USD per person (includes a one hour workshop with a Hmong artisan and one signature drink at Nagini Bar)
